Excelsior Correspondent JAMMU, Feb 27: LIC employees on the State held massive demonstrations during lunch recess today inside front on LIC offices to press for their genuine demands pending since long accompanied by a special focus on top of payment revision, allowance option also scrapping on Defined Contribution Pension Scheme (DCPS).
The demonstrations were organized on top of the shared call on Federation on Class-1 Officers’ Association, National Federation on Insurance Field Workers on India (NFIFWI) also All India Insurance Employees’ Association (AIIEA).
The unions were represented also led via Vijay Khajuria also Ravi Pandita from Class-1 Federation, Rakesh Magotra also Mohd Ashraf Bhat from NFIFWI also Pawan Gupta also A M Tantray from Northern Zone Insurance Employees’ Association.
The leaders said that the payment emendation on LIC employees has been due since 1st August 2017 also there is no genuine response either from the management or from the Government. “It is unfortunate that even the negotiations for the payment emendation have not started yet. This inordinate delay has caused a lot on resentment in the midst of employees,” they added.
They further added, “In spite on the fact that productivity per employee has increased to a big extent also also servicing to customers has touched the sky, the aspect on payment emendation on employees is not being taken care of”. They demanded payment hike on 40% seeing to the productivity also paying capacity on the industry.
It was also focused also pressed to give final option for allowance scheme 1995 to the left out employees. “The demand for a final option to join the 1995 Pension Scheme remnants undecided even after 10 years on raising this demand,” the leaders added.
It was also demanded to scrap the DCPS also replace it accompanied by old allowance scheme as the DCPS does not adhere to the social protection on pensioners inside old age. Other demands like five day week, PLLI, also recruitment was also raised. It was announced that one hour walkout strike will be observed via LIC employees all over India inside support on these demands on top of 1st March 2019 preceding lunch recess.
